  • Senior citizens aged 60+ with no business or profession income — exempt under Section 207
  • Purely salaried employees where employer deducts TDS in full and you have no other income
  • Presumptive-tax filers under Section 44AD or 44ADA — may pay 100% in one payment by 15 March 2027
  • Net tax liability ≤ ₹10,000 after TDS — below the mandatory threshold

  2. Navigate to e-Pay Tax (Quick Links)
  3. Select Income Tax → Advance Tax (100)
  4. Enter Assessment Year 2027-28 and the amount above
  5. Pay via net banking or debit card — save the Challan 280 receipt (BSR code + serial number needed at ITR filing)
